How do we move from NLP research to systems that actually work in production? This is exactly the kind of question addressed at SwissText 2026, an annual conference organized by the SwissNLP association that brings together experts in text analytics from academia and industry.

This year’s edition will take place on June 10, 2026, at the University of Zurich’s Oerlikon campus.

In many projects, the challenge is no longer building models but integrating them into reliable, explainable, and maintainable systems. This is particularly relevant for teams working on semantic search, document understanding, and AI-driven applications, where results need to be both accurate and transparent.

At Karakun, we address these challenges in practice — for example with HIBU, our platform for semantic search and text analytics, designed to bring AI models into real-world use. Particularly in scenarios where explainability and reliability are critical.

The program of SwissText 2026 reflects this focus, with keynote speakers such as Prof. Alexandra Birch (University of Edinburgh / Aveni.ai) and Dr. Valentina Pyatkin (ETH AI Center), covering topics from multilingual NLP to large language models.

If you are working on search, text understanding, or AI integration in production environments and are facing challenges in making these systems reliable and explainable, we would be happy to discuss your use cases and challenges.
